—We learn from a reliable source that the new State and County Medical Association in New York are prospering beyond the anticipations of their warmest friends. And through them the profession in that city and county will be well represented in the coming meeting of the National Association in Washington. As a large proportion of the county societies in other parts of that State have adhered to the National Code, and thereby preserved their right to representation in the national organization, it is probable that the whole State will be as fully represented in the National Association as in former years. There are also indications of a larger representation from the profession in the New England States than for many years past. All the circumstances indicate that the coming meeting in Washington will be one of the most important ever held.
