Dear Doctor:
—We are on the threshold of organizing a local Medical Society, which is to be auxiliary to our State Medical Association, and as the latter may be considered a " part and parcel " of the American Medical Association, we do not feel disposed or authorized to go into an organization with material at war with the spirit, if not the letter of the Code of Medical Ethics, as recognized by the National Society. Therefore, we most respectfully ask you if the following would be suitable material out of which to build up a local organization, viz.: (we will suppose a case) " Dr. Wm.
