ABSTRACT

Bibliomed Gastroenterology CD-ROM, sponsored by the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), is a helpful educational and research tool. It provides a comprehensive reference library for thousands of gastroenterology citations from hundreds of international journals over the past 10 years. It allows searches by author, subject, or specific journal without the need for on-line connection. Most citations provide an abstract. Full text articles from the New England Journal of Medicine and American Journal of Gastroenterology are available.

The ACG Board Review courses for 1994 and 1995 provide up-to-date information for all levels of students of digestive diseases. Self-assessment exams allow evaluation of knowledge gained. Continuing medical education credit is available for those interested. The interactive format of the exams is more entertaining than using the book. The large screen of the computer monitor makes illustrations more meaningful.

The multiauthor Liver and Biliary Diseases, edited by Kaplowitz, is included, with black-and-white
