The interface between medicine and the Internet is still in the formative stages. Therefore, I wish to review this software in two parts, the HmPg Doctor program first, and, next, the trend toward establishing home pages on the World Wide Web.
The program: HmPg Doctor is a CD-ROM. It provides a framework for creating and launching a physician's Web page on the Internet. The program installed easily from my CD drive and created a Windows 95 icon. It provided very convenient templates for text entry. There are eight index tabs under which I may key in the message that I wish to broadcast to the Web world. After a personal introduction, I announce my office hours and "new" messages, if any. The program allows me to receive e-mail also, from my readers. Next, I may create a discussion
