MINUTES OF THE AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION AT ITS 34TH ANNUAL SESSION, HELD IN CLEVELAND, OHIO, JUNE 5, 6, 7, 8, 1883.

FIRST DAY—GENERAL SESSION.  Promptly at 10:30 o'clock Dr. X. C. Scott arose and said that the time had now arrived for the opening of the Thirty-Fourth Annual Session of the American can Medical Association, and he took pleasure in introducing Right Rev. Richard Gilmour, Bishop of Cleveland, who would offer the introductory prayer. Bishop Gilmour closed a few preparatory remarks by repeating the Lord's Prayer. Dr. Scott then said the next thing on the programme was the introduction of the president, Dr. Atlee of Pennsylvania, a gentleman so well known that an introduction was merely a formality.
