To the Editor.—  I would like to call attention to a rather sharply biased editorial statement in the September 15, 1989 issue of JAMA.1In the middle column, second paragraph, the phrase reads, "harassment by antiabortion activists." May I suggest that if that were listed as a direct quote by Dr Henshaw, perhaps preceded by a comment indicating that the bias was recognized but that his direct word was reported, it might have been acceptable.Clearly, we are all aware of the fact that abortion clinics have had conscientious protesters picketing them for the last 15 years. Any honest observer of the scene will have to admit that 99% of this activity is quiet, peaceful, frequently prayerful, and largely done by women (often young women with children) and takes place in all types of weather.
