This is much more than a textbook of surgery, it is a complete system for teaching medical students in their required surgery clerkship. It is comparatively brief and is intended to be read in its entirety by the student. A set of 35-mm slides is included for use by the teacher. These are copies of the line drawings and roentgenograms from the text and are very well done.
