TODAY (April 7) is World Health Day.
Its motto is "let's talk health." One goal of this sharing of knowledge about healthier life-styles, according to Hiroshi Nakajima, MD, PhD, director-general of the sponsoring World Health Organization, is to help each of the planet's citizens to "feel responsible for his or her own health."

World Health Day will be followed in about 8 weeks by World No-Tobacco Day (May 31). And, in about 8 months (December 1), another "world day" is planned in connection with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome.
