This book gives a history of the boycott of the product of a major infant formula company, Nestle, with extension of the boycott to include the company's other products during the period from 1973 through 1984. At the time the book was written and published in early 1988, it seemed that the episode had been completed. Subsequent to the book's publication, however, the boycott has been resumed by some of the previous instigators and now extends to another company, American Home Products, as well.
The author/editor of the book purports to give an evenhanded discussion of the opposing sides in the issue. He is joined by two professional writers who covered events as reporters and now add chapters with their interpretations. There is also a foreword by Frank Falkner, who echoes the spirit and conclusions of the book. Both Drs Dobbing and Falkner have served in the recent past as
