ABSTRACT

It is evident that the author has had a large experience in pediatric chest roentgenology, is interested in teaching, and has a knack of imparting information and explaining concepts about radiology, ie, he is a good teacher. This book, as the author points out, is intended for the general radiologist or the pediatrician. It is an effort, for the most part successful, to explain to these groups how chest x-ray films of children are made, and how they should be interpreted. The emphasis is on distinguishing normal from abnormal and on identifying common abnormalities. Residents in general diagnostic radiology training programs might well be added to the list of those to whom the book is directed.

The book has the advantage of an easy conversational style that makes it pleasant and readable. Further advantages are large, clear type and an almost complete absence of typographical errors.
