The topics covered in succinct form include general aspects of radiation protection (elementary physics, units, detectors, meters, monitors, and maximum permissible dose), protection from radionuclides (working habits, legal matters, and internal dosimetry), and protection against external radiation (barriers and external dosimetry). The newly proposed Système International units, such as the becquerel, gray, and sievert, are used throughout the book. A useful glossary and good index are included. The brief table of natural logarithms is poorly reproduced from another publication.
