From a medical student's point of view, information in this second edition of Specialty Board Review: Obstetrics and Gynecology is educational, interesting, and rationally presented. For physicians reviewing basic obstetrics and gynecology for specialty boards, it may be helpful. The book's design with answers and explanations at the end of each chapter as well as numbered references enable one to find additional information in areas of weakness quickly.
One consideration is the $14 price tag for this paper-bound volume. In this case it is probably a good investment for those interested in economy of time and memory-tickling questions, but it is for onetime use only. The questions cover a wide range of subjects and are similar to board-type questions. The publishers, however, have neglected to include a "let's pretend" sample answer sheet for test practice, which some board-review packets and test booklets contain.
Nothing distinguishes this book from other board-review
