Three errors occurred in the ORIGINAL CONTRIBUTION "The Tricyclic Antidepressants," published in the Nov 17 issue of The Journal (240:2264-2266, 1978). On page 2264, column 3, the words "suffering from clinical depression" should be deleted from the second sentence of the first complete paragraph. On page 2265, column 2, "mania" is misspelled as "maina" in line 9 of the first complete paragraph. On page 2266, column 3, one line of type was omitted. The second sentence of the final paragraph should read as follows: "It is probably already wise for the practicing clinician to be proficient in the use of one tricyclic antidepressant that is sedating (eg, doxepin), one that is nonsedating or stimulating (eg, protriptyline), one that is a serotonin reuptake blocker (eg, amitriptyline), and one that is a norepinephrine reuptake blocker (eg, desipramine)."
