This book is an outcome of a national conference entitled "Teaching Methods and Patient Care with Emphasis on the Weed System," held in September 1971 at Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta. Its purpose is to bring together in a single volume the experiences of those who have been actively involved in implementing "The Problem-Oriented Record" in various settings in the health care arena.
The paperback book is divided into eight parts, of which three merit particular emphasis. The essence of this work is captured in part 2, entitled "Practical Considerations," where the logic of the system is described and then considered in regard to its mechanics, its value, and ways of implementation. Part 3 deals with its educational implications at the undergraduate and graduate levels, while part 5 addresses itself to its value in private practice and continuing medical education.
The balance of this book is of value to
