ABSTRACT

To the Editor:—  The treatment of perlèche (207:959, 1969) is well outlined by the discussant; an additional factor worth considering is the association with depressive reactions, even when brief. I have noted that patients complaining of "drooling" on their pillow (saliva trickling from one corner of the mouth) rarely have an associated perlèche, whereas the down-turned corners of the mouth of the depressed facies seem to me to be always present when this problem is seen.
