This book is probably the most comprehensive one ever written on the subject of contact dermatitis. It is well organized and thorough. All subjects seem to be covered adequately, and the factual material seems up to date. The book is probably too detailed to be of much value to the generalist but should prove to be a must for the dermatologist and allergist.
There is an excellent table in the back listing patch testing materials, dilutions and diluents, cross-reactions, and other pertinent information. The only faults this reviewer could find with this book were some glaring and occasionally amusing typographical errors, such as "paraaminobenzoate acid," "borag" for borage, "hydrophylic" for hydrophilic, and last but not least, "furs of animals' garden utensils." This reviewer is the world's worst proofreader, which indicates that the errors must be obvious and numerous. Such errors are only an annoyance, however, and really do not seriously
