Brig. Gen. Robert S. Brua, formerly the command surgeon of the Military Air Transport Service, was named command surgeon for Pacific Air Force headquarters, Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.
ARMY
Personal.—
Brig. Gen. George M. Powell, formerly in command of Madigan General Hospital, Tacoma, Wash., was named commander of Brooke General Hospital.—Col. Edwin S. Chapman was named commander of the Army Medical Service Combat Developments Group in its new home at Brooke Army Medical Center. The Army Medical Service Combat Developments Group will prepare studies on the medical service of the future, and coordinate them with 26 other agencies of the Combat Developments System. These are located with all the arms and services throughout the United States. Since June, 1958, Colonel Chapman has been director of the Department of Military Sciences at the Medical Field Service School.—Col. Charles H.
