This will acknowledge with thanks the notices dated June 18, 1959, addressed to me as Executive Vice President of the American Medical Association, and to Dr. Fletcher D. Woodward, the Chairman of our Committee on Medical Aspects of Automobile Injuries and Deaths. With your permission the Association would like to submit this statement for inclusion in the printed record of the hearings on the measures outlined in the notice of June 18.Inasmuch as the American Medical Association has not considered or taken a position on most of the specific bills under consideration by your Committee, our statement will be general in nature. It will, however, I believe, outline the extent of our interest
