The House of Delegates at the Atlantic City meeting in June endorsed a new policy adopted by the Board of Trustees whereby all dues-paying members of the Association will receive The Journal and one of the A. M. A. specialty journals as a dues-paying membership benefit. Dues-paying members may select any one of the 10 A. M. A. specialty journals in the fields of internal medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, children's diseases, otolaryngology, pathology, dermatology, industrial health, neurology, or psychiatry. Thus, in all, such members will receive as a benefit of membership an A. M. A. specialty journal of their choice, Today's Health, The AMA News, and The Journal. Since the range of The Journal extends across the entire field of medicine, the House of Delegates and the trustees believe that all members of the Association should receive The Journal in addition to the specialty journal of their choice.
