Captain Schiff Honored.—
Capt. Maurice Schiff, chief of the eye, ear, nose, and throat service at the U. S. Naval Hospital, Oakland, Calif., was selected as the 1959 recipient of the Harris P. Mosher Memorial award, an honor that comes in connection with his election to active fellowship in the American Laryngological, Rhinological, and Otological Society, Inc. The organization confers this honor each year on the candidate who submits the best thesis. "Juvenile Nasopharyngeal Angiofibroma" was the title of Captain Schiff's thesis. Dr. Schiff presented his paper at the annual meeting of the society in Hot Springs, Va., on March 12. The honor carries with it a Harris P. Mosher Memorial award certificate, the listing of the recipient's name on the scroll published each year in the annual program of the society, 100 complimentary copies of the prize thesis, and its submission for consideration for publication in a forthcoming
