NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON HOMEMAKER SERVICES
A National Conference on Homemaker Services, sponsored by the American Medical Association among 26 national, voluntary, and governmental agencies and organizations, will be held at the Edgewater Beach Hotel, Chicago, Feb. 10-11, 1959. Among the participants will be Dr. David B. Allman, member, Executive Committee of the Conference, Dr. Philip S. Barba, chairman, Finance Committee, and Dr. Lemuel C. McGee, chairman, Study Group on Industry and Labor and Homemaker Services. A number of other physicians and members of the Women's Auxiliaries will take part in the conference. Twelve study groups, which have held preconference discussions in the past few months, will prepare working papers for the meeting. These will serve as the bases for further discussion and for the formulation of plans to stimulate the development of such services and to strengthen the role of the voluntary agencies providing homemaker services throughout the country.
