ABSTRACT

This excellent volume covers surgery and its specialties, with the exception of ophthalmology and otolaryngology. It is a second edition and has been extensively rewritten so that the surgical problems and the operative techniques are modern. Descriptions and illustrations are excellent. The book should prove informative and affords an excellent reference source for general surgeons, specialists, residents, and advanced medical students who are interested in surgery. Its emphasis on technique may limit its value for other medical students. Certainly the volume is a valuable and up-to-date review of modern surgery.
