• The best place for a physician to continue his education is in his own hospital, where he can assume a sincere obligation for his share of the training program. The development and maintenance of a satisfactory graduate training program in the regional hospital by members of its own staff provide a continuous opportunity for intellectual stimulation. It has been observed that practicing physicians in regional hospitals, through their repeated contacts with members of the faculty where there is a visiting program as provided by the University of Michigan, are more prone to utilize consultation, and such consultation, whether it be formal or informal, provides immeasureable education opportunities at all levels.
