Assays for members of the vitamin B complex family, newly included in this edition, are those for pantothenic acid, pyridoxine, folic acid, biotin, vitamin B12, and a chemical analysis for nicotinic acid (niacin). Both suggestions from interested persons and information from current literature have been utilized in the revision of the methods included in the first edition.
