ABSTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETINGS OF BOARD OF TRUSTEES SEPT. 19 AND 21, 1940  A two day session of the Board of Trustees was held at the headquarters of the Association, September 19 and 21. On the 20th, the members of the Board attended the Conference on Medical Preparedness.

APPOINTMENTS  The Board confirmed the appointment by the Executive Committee at its meeting in August of Dr. R. L. Sensenich to act as secretary pro tem of the Board until its November meeting.The following appointments were made to fill the vacancies caused by the death of Dr. Austin A. Hayden: Dr. Ernest E. Irons, as Trustee and Secretary of the Board pro tem until the annual session of the Association in Cleveland next June; Dr. E. L. Henderson, on Joint Committee of American Medical Association and American College of Surgeons; Dr. R. L. Sensenich, member of the Committee
