ABSTRACT

NAVY 

NAVAL INTERNS WANTED  The Navy desires to procure three hundred qualified candidates to the grade of lieutenant (jg) in the Medical Corps of the Reserve to pursue intern training in civilian medical centers during the fiscal year 1950 under the auspices of the Navy Department. Applications for appointment must be filed through the Office of Naval Officer Procurement nearest the place of residence of the candidate. Successful candidates will be appointed lieutenants (jg) in the Medical Corps of the Naval Reserve and ordered to active duty at the institution with which they have contracted for the year of training, and they will be required to serve on active duty for two years beyond the date of completion of intern training. Candidates must be graduates or enrolled in the fourth year class of an approved medical school and otherwise meet the standards for appointment in the Naval Medical Reserve.
