ABSTRACT

ARMY 

OFFICERS ACCEPTED FOR ADVANCE TRAINING  The following additional Medical Department officers have been accepted for advanced training in the civilian schools and hospitals indicated:

VALLEY FORGE HOSPITAL AND THE GRADUATE TRAINING PROGRAM  The Surgeon General announces that beginning July 1 the Valley Forge Army General Hospital at Phoenixville, Pa., will participate in the Graduate Professional Education Program, bringing the number of hospitals participating in this program to nine and opening a new source of training to young physicians interested in the Army intern program.The military intern program offers graduate training opportunities to selected graduates of medical schools approved by the American Medical Association. Successful graduates are assigned to Army general hospitals which are approved for such teaching by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals. Three hundred internships are available yearly. Appointments begin on July 1 and terminate July 30 the following year. After receipt of their
