Ophthalmology in the War Years. Volume II (1944-June, 1946)

This volume contains a review of ophthalmic literature published during the war years 1944 to June 1946, and continues the project to review ophthalmic literature published during the war. Volume I covered the years 1939 through 1943. An attempt has been made to include everything of importance published during the war, including case reports of unusual interest. An editorial staff of thirty-seven specialists aided in the collecting and abstracting of all available articles and books pertinent to the field. A review of the literature is presented under thirty-seven subject headings beginning with anatomy and embryology and including chapters on fundamental and clinical subjects. Articles which are not discussed in the reviews are listed in the bibliographies, which are as complete as could be secured. The reader will find some articles which were published before 1944 but which were not available at the time the first volume came from the press.
