As was announced to the House of Delegates at the St. Louis Session and as reported by our Washington correspondent, Secretary of Defense James Forrestal on December 13 appointed an Armed Forces Medical Advisory Committee which included nine civilian leaders of the medical profession, the Surgeons General of the Army and Navy and the Air Surgeon. At the same time Secretary Forrestal announced that Mr. Charles Proctor Cooper, president of the Board of Trustees of the Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, had accepted appointment to act as his deputy for all medical matters affecting the armed forces. He will also serve as chairman of the Armed Forces Medical Advisory Committee. The members of the committee are:
