Portrait of Dr. Harris.—
A portrait of Dr. Seale Harris, Birmingham, professor emeritus of medicine, was presented to the Medical College of Alabama on the evening of December 17 as a gift of the doctors of Alabama. Dr. Harris was professor of medicine at the Medical College of Alabama when the school was located in Mobile. He has also done renowned work on hyperinsulinism and as a medical biographer. The presentation was made by Dr. Lon Grove of Atlanta.
COLORADO
Governor's Health Council.—
A committee of thirty-three persons has been appointed by Governor Lee Knous to organize a legislative campaign for the passage of proposed health bills to be introduced in the 1949 state legislative session and to carry on a statewide educational program regarding the bills.
