State Hospital Appointments.—
Dr. Ronald H. Kettle was appointed superintendent of the Norwich State Hospital, effective August 25. He has been acting superintendent since July 1948, when Dr. Riley H. Guthrie resigned. Dr. Conrad O. Ranger was appointed clinical director of the hospital beginning October 1. He has been consultant for the Veterans Administration at Manchester, N. H.
Research in Electroencephalography.—
The Institute of Living at New Haven announces the appointment of Charles E. Henry, Ph.D., Chicago, to direct the expanded research program in electroencephalography and allied studies. Dr. Henry comes to Hartford from the Institute for Juvenile Research in Chicago. He was in charge of the electroencephalographic program for the Navy at Newport. Before his military service he had taught at Western Reserve University, Cleveland, and the State University of Iowa, Iowa City, and had been associated with the Bradley Home and School for Children in Providence, R.
