PHARMACY RESERVE UNIT
A Pharmacy Reserve Officers Training Corps unit will be in operation this fall at the University of Minnesota under the direction of Major Leonard P. Zagelow of the U. S. Army. Any man between 18 and 27 years of age who can meet college requirements is eligible to enter the new program. Each student is required to spend one hour per week in military instruction, in addition to the regular pharmacy credits for the four years and to attend an army camp for six weeks between his junior and senior years. At the completion of the program he is awarded a commission in the Reserve Officers Corps, and during his junior and senior years receives compensation amounting to about $24 a month.
