This small monograph is a competent review of the diagnosis and treatment of adrenal cortical insufficiency. Without going into great detail as to basic physiology, sufficient applied physiology is included to illuminate the clinical discussion. The clinical concepts are similar to those which are current in this country, with the possible exception of the acceptance by the author of certain borderline syndromes as forms of adrenal cortical insufficiency. The references to the literature are ample and international in character. This volume should be of value to internists who have a special interest in disorders of the endocrine glands.
