Fifty Year Club.—
The Medical Association of the State of Alabama this year inaugurated its fifty year club with one hundred and thirty-two members. Physicians who graduated fifty or more years ago were asked to sign the " Fifty Year Club" register. Their names were printed in the program; on the morning of the second day of the annual session recognition of the "Golden Anniversary in the Practice of Medicine" was made and certificates were awarded to those who were present.
Dr. Norman C. Paine, Glendale, Calif., former assistant football coach at the University of Chicago, was awarded a citation of merit at the University of Chicago Alumni banquet June 11, in recognition of public service to the community, the nation and humanity. He is a member of the faculty of the University of Southern California School of Medicine, Los Angeles, and a graduate of Rush Medical College,
