State Medical Election.—
At the California Medical Association meeting in San Francisco April 11-14, Dr. R. Stanley Kneeshaw, San Jose, was chosen president-elect and Dr. E. Vincent Askey, Los Angeles, was installed as president.
Establish Section of Allergy.—
An Allergy Section of the California Medical Association, to be known as the California Society of Allergy, was organized April 11 by thirty allergists of the state in San Francisco. Dr. Willard S. Small, Pasadena, was elected temporary chairman and Dr. Frank G. Crandall Jr., Los Angeles, temporary secretary. The new section will hold meetings in conjunction with the annual meetings of the California Medical Association. Physicians interested in allergy are invited to attend.

Ferris Lecture.—
The eleventh Harry Burr Ferris Memorial Lecture of the Yale Medical Society was given by Melvin H. Knisely, Ph.D., Chicago, May 12, on " Sludged Blood."
