ABSTRACT

Nineteen editions of this work attest its usefulness. Since the last edition Dr. May died, and the present edition is revised and edited by Dr. Perera, who has worked with Dr. May since the fifteenth edition. The new edition emphasizes penicillin therapy, new theories of color vision, the effects of hormones and the studies that have been made of congenital cataract following maternal rubella. A supplement is devoted to the most recent tests of the eye required for military and other governmental services.
