ABSTRACT

ARKANSAS 

Pediatric Postgraduate Course.—  A postgraduate course in pediatrics will be given at the University of Arkansas School of Medicine in Little Rock, November 6-7. The course is sponsored by the pediatric department of the School of Medicine, Maternal and Child Health Division of the State Board of Health and the Arkansas Medical Society. Interested physicians, nurses and public health workers are invited to attend. No fee will be charged.

ILLINOIS 

Cancer Society Aids State Control Program.—  Grants totaling $176,714 have been approved by the Illinois Division of the American Cancer Society to carry on its cancer control program in this state. Seven Chicago hospitals and clinics will receive $33,680. Other allocations, totaling $143,034, will be distributed among the organization's 59 downstate and metropolitan Chicago chapters to continue existing projects.
