ABSTRACT

Despite a slight change in title, this yearbook follows the pattern of former volumes in presenting abstracts of articles relating to medicine and health education. Most of the material abstracted appeared between July 1, 1952, and June 30, 1953. A total of 101 professional publications provided the source material. The book contains an extensive bibliography, a list of the sources, an author index, and a subject index. Although there is no pretense of complete coverage of the field, a wide range of topics that are of general interest is provided. Each chapter begins with a general summary of the current status of the topic, in which the editor avoids any attempt at interpretation. This volume should be helpful to a wide variety of health education workers. On the jacket is a short quiz patterned after a procedure introduced by the publishers about 10 years ago.
