ARIZONA
Public Health Association.—
The annual meeting of the Arizona Public Health Association was held April 20-21 at Safford. The sessions were conducted on a workshop plan, and the theme of the meeting was "Public Health and Arizona's Economy." Dr. Harald M. Graning, U. S. Public Health Service, Washington, D. C., spoke on "Public Health—1950." Dr. Charles E. Reddick, Phoenix, succeeded Mrs. Marion Sprague as president of the association. Mr. Roy N. Jones, supervisor, Phoenix Health Department, was chosen presidentelect and Mrs. Helene T. Bennett of Yuma, vice president.
ARKANSAS
Dr. Poe Heads Neuropsychiatry Department.—
Dr. John S. Poe, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, has been appointed professor of neuropsychiatry and head of the department at the University of Arkansas School of Medicine, effective May 1. Dr. H. Lee Hall has been appointed associate professor of neuropsychiatry, effective July 1. Dr. Hall was formerly associated with the Long Island College of Medicine.
