ABSTRACT

Official Notes 

CIVIL DEFENSE  Representatives of the state and territorial medical societies, allied professional groups and various federal governmental agencies will participate in the next meeting of the Council on National Emergency Medical Service, which will be held at American Medical Association headquarters, May 6, 1950. During this meeting, which will be concerned entirely with the medical and health aspects of civil defense planning, both formal presentations and round tables will be utilized to enable those present to acquaint themselves with various civil defense problems confronting the health professions, the civil defense aspects of the newer warfare agents, the federal government's training programs in the medical aspects of atomic warfare and the experiences of others who have planned and organized civil defense programs.
