Good, practical advice on safety practices is presented in this volume, which is directed at children in the upper grades of elementary schools. The language is appropriate to such groups, and the discussions are sufficiently concise to permit satisfactory assimilation of the presentations. An especially good feature is the inclusion at frequent intervals throughout the text of stimulating questions based on the topic under consideration. In addition to a general discussion of the many different special agencies responsible for community safety, there are chapters on home safety, school safety, first aid, safety in recreation and during vacations, and traffic safety.
