The State Building Commission has allocated 1 million dollars for improvements at Alabama mental institutions. Bryce Hospital at Tuscaloosa was allotted $805,000 for a new building and $100,000 for renovation and improvement of present facilities. Searcy Hospital, Mount Vernon, was given $80,000, Partlow State School, Tuscaloosa, $15,000, and the Institute for the Deaf and Blind at Talladega, $70,000 for a new dormitory, $50,000 for a shop building, and $80,000 for improving present buildings.
Dr. French H. Craddock Sr., medical director of the Drummond-Fraser Hospital, Sylacauga, was recently named vice-president of Avondale Mills in recognition of his long service record with the company.
