ABSTRACT

An adequate compendium of neuroradiology would be welcome to neurologists as well as to roentgenologists. However, this volume, a first attempt at supplying the need, does not succeed. The text contains many quotations from the literature but does not impress one as representing a thorough and detailed experience in the field. Further evidence for this assumption is the paucity of good illustrative roentgenograms of the skull demonstrating individual pathologic processes. The text is written in a terse style and conditions of interest are too briefly discussed. The book is not a substitute for a knowledge of the literature. It is not highly recommended but may be of some use for beginners in the field until they acquire personal experience.
