ABSTRACT

The present volume represents the fifth edition of Ernest Jones' collected papers. The author is one of the oldest living disciples of Professor Freud and was one of Freud's closest friends. For more than four decades Ernest Jones has been an outstanding contributor to the understanding of human behavior. Most of the papers contained in the collected works were originally delivered as lectures and as such represent an excellent collection of the author's contributions to dynamic psychiatry. Jones' influence on psychiatry has been worldwide; he has practiced for many years in London and spent considerable time in Canada and the United States. For many years he has been the nominal head of the International Psychoanalytic Society and as such has been an outstanding leader and scientific contributor.

This book is a must for students of dynamic psychology and is highly recommended to everyone who is interested in this subject. All
