Because of the great distance of San Francisco, the convention city, from the headquarters of the American Medical Association in Chicago, we are unable to present in this issue of The Journal a complete report of the annual session. The attendance, which exceeded 7,500, the magnificent weather, which provided a week of consecutive brilliant sunshine and favorable atmosphere, the elaborate festivities arranged and conducted by representatives of the California Medical Association, the great significance of actions taken by the House of Delegates and the perfection of the scientific programs combined to make a successful session beyond anything that was anticipated.
