Chest Symposium in January.—
The Los Angeles County Medical Association's General Practice Section will sponsor a chest symposium for county physicians January 26-27 at the Wilshire Ebell Theater. The meeting is being arranged in cooperation with the Los Angeles and American Trudeau Societies, the U. S. Public Health Service and the Los Angeles County Tuberculosis and Health Association.
Planning for the Chronically Ill.—
Representatives of the health council, Family and Children's Council and the Social Planning Committee of the Community Chest of San Francisco are developing a plan for the chronically ill. The committee has recommended that the city have an information and referral center for at least a three year demonstration period, under the direction of an advisory committee representative of the interests necessary to develop effective service.
