DR. MORRIS FISHBEIN RETIRES AS EDITOR OF THE JOURNAL

On December 1 Dr. Morris Fishbein retired as Editor of The Journal of the American Medical Association, after almost thirty-seven years of outstanding service. His ability to organize, his willingness to work and his accomplishments long will be remembered by those who were associated with The Journal and other medical activities. Time after time he demonstrated the breadth of his knowledge and the keenness of his judgment. Time after time he demonstrated the ease with which he could summarize complex problems and introduce solutions. Words alone cannot express how much Dr. Fishbein has contributed to the affairs of the American Medical Association and to medical literature.
