Hospital Approved for Intern Training.—
At the last meeting of the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals October 22 the Southern Pacific General Hospital in San Francisco was approved by the Council for intern training.
The Doheny Eye Lecture.—
The third Estelle Doheny Eye Lecture will be given by Dr. Phillips Thygeson in Los Angeles, Jan. 17, 1950 on "The Etiology and Treatment of Phylctenular Keratitis." Dr. Thygeson is associate clinical professor of ophthalmology at the University of California Medical School in San Francisco. The lecture, a part of the activities of the Estelle Doheny Foundation, is named in honor of the foundation's benefactress.
