NAVY PLANS MEDICAL CENTER FOR GUAM
The U. S. Navy has planned a large medical center for Guam to include a 300 bed memorial hospital for natives and medical schools for native practitioners and nurses, in addition to the naval hospital and a tropical medicine research unit. Until the new hospital is constructed, natives are receiving treatment at a 300 bed quonset hospital operated by the Navy. Fourteen outlying dispensaries serve all communities in Guam.
