The great increase during the last three year interval is due in part to the inclusion of psychiatric clinics for adults in the latest edition; but as there are only fifty in this group, the net increase of clinics serving children is approximately 130. Of the 674 clinics in the country, 232, just over a third, provide the complete service of psychiatrist, psychologist and psychiatric social worker. The new edition, which is believed to be complete, represents a canvass of the entire country. Not only psychiatric clinics but also neurologic clinics, so called, were included when they were found to offer, in reality, psychiatric service.
